The Holden House Centennial (1918-2018)

The Holden House was built in 1918 by Samuel Merwin Bortree (1859- 1918) as a wedding gift for his daughter Ethel Lura Bortree Holden (1892-1977), and her husband Tom Edward Holden (1892-1974).

Historical Society goes Beeserk

The Historical Society, along with The Flagler County Beekeeper's Association went to Korona to remove the James Slovak Memorial Apiary Collection, 75 years of local beekeeping, to Haven Acres, Bunnell. A ribbon cutting will be held after all the bees settle into their new home. An aggressive swarm of bees chased Ed to the property line!
