A month ago, to the day, it became the 2020 Autumnal Equinox. Even though it is supposedly Fall here in Florida, the draw to the beach is still strong, except for dreary, overcast days which bring on the summertime blues. – jdf

A look south on State Road A1A in Flagler Beach circa 1948. The beachside town has been Flagler County’s “playground” since its days as Ocean City. With special events season heating up, visitors will again be flocking to the coquina sand beach on Flagler’s coast.

While Flagler Beach officials today are working to restore beach access on dune walkovers damage by recent tropical storms, business owners today, much like their counterparts in the past, are hoping to see traffic flowing up and down Oceanshore Boulevard.. (Flagler County Historical Society) –
